Gahanna Christian Academy offers Co-ed Soccer at the Middle School and Varsity levels.

VARSITY
2008 was a very challenging year for our Varsity team. Our 13 players were up against many teams almost twice that size, but they never gave up, and they finished the season with a record of 8 wins and 8 losses. Seniors, Nick Thomas and Chase Wenner were chosen for MOCAL Second Team, and sophomore, Cody Thomas received MOCAL First Team honors. Congratulations to these young men, and to all the Varsity players, for a successful season!

MIDDLE SCHOOL
Letter from Coach DesLaurier:
I have been playing, or coaching soccer for most of my life. I have coached the middle school soccer team, here at GCA, for the past 8 years. My job as coach is to teach the players the fundamentals of the game of soccer (trap, pass, dribble and shoot) and how to play the game as a Christian ought to play; run hard and no excuses. (1 Cor. 9:24-27). I support the Biblical principles being taught by the teachers and staff at GCA and encourage and promote Christian character.
Over the years my players have worked hard and had fun. Many, learned new skills and talents they didn’t think they could accomplish, but did. Many, have discovered a passion for the sport of soccer and have continued on through the Varsity Soccer program. All of my players have learned the importance of teamwork and respect, not only for the coaches, fellow players, opponents and referees, but, most importantly, for themselves.
GCA Eagle Soccer- Middle School is open to all boys and girls in the 7th & 8th grades. Conditioning practices/ tryouts begin the last week of July and regular practices start the first week of August. The season runs through the middle of October. The two-and-a-half month commitment is a rewarding experience.
